Entschleunigung, Verlangsamung, Zeitlupe und Stillstand sind Begriffe mit denen Mildenberger in der Ausstellung FROZEN DIGITALIA in Bezug zu digitalen Bilderwelten operiert. Eine Fülle an unzählbar gewordenen Bildern peitscht in rasanter Geschwindigkeit tagtäglich von Screen zu Screen durch das Internet. Rankings und Algorithmen in der Mehrheit von weißen Cis-Männern erstellt, beeinflussen deren Auswahl und somit auch Meinungen, Ideale und Urteile der User. Zugeschnitten auf die eigenen Interessen beschränken die ausgewählten Bilder den eigenen Horizont. Andere Sichtweisen und Kulturen versinken im Sumpf der narzisstischen Digitalisierung.

Deceleration, slowing down, slow motion and standstill are terms with which Mildenberger operates in the exhibition FROZEN DIGITALIA in relation to digital worlds of images. Every day masses of uncountable images move in a rapid speed from screen to screen through the Internet. Rankings and algorithms created by the majority of white cis men manipulate the selection of pictures and therefore also the opinions, ideals and judgments of their users. Adjusted to your own interests, the selected images limit your own horizons. Other perspectives and cultures are sinking into the swamp of narcissistic digitalization.

Das Augansmaterial der Werkgruppe FROZEN INSTAGRAM sind die Videos des Archivs 12 most-viewed Instagram reels of all time + Special mention aus dem Jahr 2023, welches in den sozialen Netzwerken kursiert. Während einer Performance wird jedes Video mit einem mobilen Hand-Scanner eingescannt.
Die somit entstandenen 13 handgemachten Scans wurden auf Fotopapier belichtet und eine Silikon-Form des eingescannten Smartphones in UV-beständiges Epoxidharz gegossen. Desweiteren werden die 13 eingefrorenen Bewegtbilder in einer Videoanimation nacheinander gezeigt.

The used material of the work group FROZEN INSTAGRAM are the videos from the archive 12 most-viewed Instagram reels of all time + Special mention from 2023, which is circulating in social networks. During a performance, each video is scanned with a mobile hand-held scanner.
The resulting 13 handmade scans were exposed on photo paper and cast in UV-resistant epoxy resin in a silicone mold of the scanned smartphone. Furthermore, the 13 frozen moving images are shown one after the other in a video animation.
